GhatGo (“GhatGo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the website ghatgo.com and related services that allow customers to discover and book boat rides on the River Ganga in Varanasi, India. GhatGo acts as a booking platform that connects you with licensed boat operators and partner hotels. Boat rides are operated by independent boat owners and crew who hold the relevant local permits.

You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking. By booking on behalf of a group (including minors), you confirm that you are authorised to do so and that you accept these Terms on behalf of every member of your party.

• A booking is confirmed only after successful payment and the issue of a booking confirmation email and/or SMS containing a unique booking reference.
• All boat schedules, boarding ghats and pricing are subject to availability at the time of booking. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking in case of obvious pricing errors, fraud, or non-availability.
• The customer is responsible for providing accurate name, contact number, party size and date / time. GhatGo is not liable for failed rides arising out of incorrect information supplied during booking.

• All prices are listed in Indian Rupees (INR / ₹) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Payments are processed through our payment partner (Cashfree). GhatGo does not store your full card or banking details.
• Prices may vary with season, time of day (sunrise / Aarti / sunset) and party size. The price displayed at checkout is the final amount payable for that booking.
• Any optional add-ons (additional time, refreshments, photography, pickup-drop) are charged separately and are subject to availability.

Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Refunds Policy. Please review it before completing a booking. Where weather, river conditions, administrative orders or any other event outside our reasonable control prevents a ride from operating, we will offer a reschedule or refund as set out in that policy.

• Please arrive at the boarding ghat at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Boats may not wait for late arrivals and no refund will be due in such cases.
• Carry a valid government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, PAN, Driving Licence or Passport). Boat operators may refuse boarding if identity cannot be verified.
• The booking confirmation (digital or printed) must be presented at the time of boarding.

• Life jackets are provided on every ride and must be worn by all passengers, including children, throughout the ride.
• Passengers must follow all instructions issued by the boat crew. The crew has the right to refuse boarding to, or disembark, any passenger who appears intoxicated, is behaving unsafely or is creating a disturbance.
• Smoking, alcohol and any illegal substances are strictly prohibited on board. Lighting diyas / floating lamps is permitted only with the crew’s assistance and where local rules allow.
• The Ganga is a sacred river and Varanasi is a place of worship. Please dress modestly and respect ongoing religious activity at the ghats.

• Each boat has a maximum capacity printed on the listing. Bookings exceeding this capacity will be refused at boarding without refund.
• Children below 5 years of age are normally permitted free of charge but must be included in the headcount when booking. Adult supervision is mandatory at all times.
• If any member of your party has limited mobility, a medical condition, is pregnant or cannot swim, please contact us before booking so that we can advise on the most suitable boat and boarding ghat.

Boat rides depend on the weather and the level of the Ganga. We reserve the right to delay, shorten, reroute or cancel any ride for safety reasons or where directed by local authorities, the National Mission for Clean Ganga, or any competent authority. GhatGo will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss caused by such changes, but you will be entitled to a reschedule or refund as per our refunds policy.

• Boat rides are inherently outdoor activities and carry an element of risk. Customers participate at their own risk and are responsible for their personal belongings.
• GhatGo’s total liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with a booking is limited to the amount actually paid for that booking.
• We are not liable for losses caused by force majeure events, the acts or omissions of third parties (including the boat operator) beyond our reasonable control, or for any indirect, special or consequential loss.

If your booking is made through a partner hotel, the hotel acts as a referrer; the contract for the boat ride is still with GhatGo and the operator. Hotel-specific arrangements (transfers, room billing, vouchers) remain between you and the hotel.

All content on the GhatGo website — including the brand name, logo, copy, photographs, illustrations and code — is owned by GhatGo or licensed to it. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or use it for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.

• Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform, other accounts, or our infrastructure.
• Do not use the platform to transmit malware, scrape data at scale, or interfere with normal operation.
• Do not impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation.

Your use of the platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what personal information we collect and how we use it.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be available at ghatgo.com/terms with the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or any booking made on the platform.
